High Definition ATSC (8-VSB) receive site testing including antennas, downleads, decoders, and full analysis of the 8-VSB signal with a dedicated 8-VSB spectrum analyzer. A computerized signal survey level projection program is utilized (CSE’s in-house survey program) is correlated with receive site measurements. Services also include the locating of optimal alternate receive sites; where the existing site is prohibitive to good off-air reception. We provide refurbishing, repair, and calibration verification of older Sunrise Telecom AT2500RQv series spectrum/ QAM analyzers, primarily in the version 1 through 4 hardware series. The original Avantron AT2000 series units are possible to repair, however re-calibration is not possible and repair parts are extremely hard to locate. Please contact me if you have one of these very old units and wish to discuss possible repairs or refurbishing.
The above sample waveforms depict the following distortions and /or interfering carriers: Upper-Left shows composite 2nd order distortions in an HFC cable television network (note beats on green trace at +/- .75 and 1.25 MHz), Upper-Right shows a spurious beat under a 256-QAM carrier (on the green trace with the QAM carrier temporarily disabled), Lower-Left depicts signal leakage measurement in the 700 MHz band (markers at the visual and aural carrier frequencies), and Lower-Right shows a sporadic interfering carrier captured with the RTA signal mask feature activated.is is paragraph text.
